They're only a couple of weeks old and I've been feeding: Purina® Game Bird & Turkey Startena® Feed is a complete feed for pheasants, quail, chukars, guinea fowl and other exotic game birds from 0-6 weeks or turkeys 0-8 weeks of age.
I had been grinding it, but that no longer seems necessary. They're eating it as is, and growing, and threoing it all over the place.
After 8 weeks, can I continue the starter? Availability is good at my local tractor supply (shortest drive for me). Both the feed store & TS have the starters. TS has Purina Game Bird Flight Conditioner (19%) or my local feed store has Sporting Bird Flight Developer Crumbles (22%).
