I have begun decorating with my feed bags. The focus at first is to cover the cracks and holes (from where knots have fallen out.. Perfect for snakes/rodents,,

See all the open spaces inbetween the boards? This is the west side of the coop. Most of our rain comes from the north/northwest direction...
I have a bright red bag of birdseed that I'll be putting up as soon as it is empty. Also will have a green dog food bag (IMS).. But since he's all of 8 lbs....it may be a while before I get to buy another bag for him. Not complaining....just saying! LOL

I had a ton of bags .don't throw them out as they are as strong and waterproof.so I just made a cover for one of my 2 ×4×2 younger silkies coops.machine sewed most but it got pretty large so found stapling works too .Made it large enough to put batts of straw on the roof and against sides then the feed bag blAnket covers it all. With straw inside also.
Think they are as warm as possible. Its going to be 19 tonite in the city so im sure colder than that out here rural.TOO SOON FOR US IN MO!!!

I've been using them to line the walls of my coop. I also stapled so that it won't be tough to get down and reuse in the spring.....
