this past spring and plan on raising a batch of 25 meaties soon as well. I am tired of paying the $12 @ TSC for a 50lb bag. I have tried searching the forum, but maybe I'm typing in the wrong words, cuz I can't find anything

Does anyone have any suggestions for feed mills around Indiana? I'll be willing to drive, since I'll be purchasing a lot...TIA

Im in southern indiana about exit 19 off of i-65 I fed crumbles for a while but like you it got expensive...I switched to laying mash 16% protein and seems to less wasteful amongst the birds at my local feed mill...It's 8.25 50LB bag, although crumbles are about 10 bucks. PM me if your interested in a address and phone number for them. ,

I live about 2 hrs away from you, in Ohio, and I have rural grain elevators all over the place! Seriously, if the bags weren't 50 lbs, I wouldn't even have to drive to one! I can get a bag of layer feed for about eight bucks, chick and game bird feed is a little more. In the winter, I buy ground corn ($5) and mix it in. Good luck!

I live in Salem exit 29 off of 65 and I cant throw a rock and not hit a feed mill or store. If you look around it will be amazing how many stores and mills are around.

Fox&hen, I know this post was a long time ago, but I am in Northern Indiana and trying to find a feed mill so I don't have to buy my feed at a box store. Where did/do you get yours?

Hi, welcome to BYC!

Unfortunately, this is a very old thread, and the poster you replied to hasn’t posted since October 2010.

You might ask your local country extension agent if they’re familiar with it, or with another one close to you.
