Feed questions?

My buddy owns a small local pet store and sells a lot of basic mammal and reptile supplies but recently had an uptick in livestock costumers upset he doesn't have much (mostly small 10# bags of feed) while most see this and just leave i was wondering if reddit could help. What's some things that you guys feed your chickens (ducks and geese answers are accepted too since those have been asked for).most people just ask if that's all he has and leaves and never clearify what they want or just say they can't wait for delivery they need it today. We are in rural north central Illinois for reference since I hear weather factors food and protein count. Thanks guys.
