Thats exactly what I am going to do. I was told from the get go that if there was a problem they would call and they didnt til I almost threw fits. You know I have spent alot of money in there but no more.

I don't blame you at all. I had an experience like that at Target over cake pans. I told the manager the story, she said she would find them for me and I told her, no, never mind. Just correct your problem, but I will take my business somewhere else.

Why would ANYONE who is treated like their business doesn't matter ever WANT to go there again? I say get your money back, and take your business elsewhere.

Because people are human and they screw up sometimes. If it is a consistent problem then by all means get your money back. If they are that bad they probably won't give the money back. This is the point where a good store manager would take the moment to create a customer that could be happy for life. You have to give them a chance though. Hostility invokes hostility and doesn't accomplish anything accept for smug satisfaction that you can share only with yourself.

The rural king here doesnt make you pay right when you order since they had the exact problems you are having they make you pay when they get the chicks in so you pay for what is alive and not dead chicks. Seems a lot easier this way. I wonder why your rural king doesnt do that?

Taking your business somewhere else that doesn't treat you like you don't matter is hardly hostile, it is prudent.

I know what Sheila is talking about and I do visit that store but to buy chicks or order, forget it!

I never saw so many people picking up chicks and misplacing them in the bins. UGH!

Actually, there are a lot of factors that determine prudent.

As for customer service. If all other things are equal than customer service is always the tie breaker. If a store has prices that are 15-20% less than another store but their customer service sucks, then people will still shop the place with crummy service. I'm sure we can all think of a few examples of that. So in that case the prudent thing is to shop the cheaper store.

Now if that cheaper store has a very difficult return policy and you can't return faulty products or inferior products ( at least more inferior than expected) then it would be more prudent to shop the more expensive store with the better customer service.

I'm in the insurance business. Our rates aren't as low as some of the companies you see advertising lower rates. However our customer service is far and away much better. So people are willing to pay a couple hundred a year more for our product because they know we will always take care of them and not try to weasel our way out of paying legitimate claims.
