Okay, this bird was sold to me as an Araucana and I'm not even sure if she/he is an Easter Egger. She was purchased at the end of March so she is about four months old. So far she hasn't crowed or laid an egg. She isn't aggressive either. I am simply hoping for a hen at this point.
BUT I would really like to know what this bird is. . . .
This chicken came from the same bin as the above chicken. Both have greenish-gray legs. Similar carriage and tail.
As you can see this bird has more upright tail feathers than the true Araucana (at lease from what I read). She does have the pea comb and muffs, therefore this bird is much closer to being an Araucana, I think. If they lay blue eggs I guess they are considered Easter Eggers??? I knew buying feed store chicks that was most likely what I was getting and I don't breed or sell chickens so for pets & eggs it was okay for me to take the chance.
If anyone knows anything from looking at them I am curious about what I can learn.
Thanks
