In response to the above post about cochins - I love my little cochin chicks so far! I have white, black and red ones, and all of them have heavily feathered legs and are big fluff balls. They are 8 weeks old. I moved them out to the coop yesterday, and all of them have settled in nicely. They are roosting and eating and drinking as expected. They LOVE being on the grass! What I enjoy is that now that they are out of the huge box I had them in, I can easily watch them. They come to the fencing and get their treats when I go out to check on them.
