They NEEDED You! Glad you saw that and brought them home.

Sooo cute!

= ) they r so sweet. i ended up sleeping on the floor next to their brooder.
lol every time id hear one peep i would wake up and look in and make sure they were good to go..
i cant do that tonite, *sigh* school tomorrow.

had to test my resistance -- LOL -- walked into Del's today to see if all the fluffy butts had found new homes (200 RIRs, 200 CornishX, 50 Black sexlinks

well, all the sexlinks were gone (they didn't appear to be in good health a couple of days ago anyway0

but from a third to a half of the other two breeds (RIR are pullets only, Cornish X are straight run) are still there ! and actually looking pretty good

had to give myself a good talking to, not to pick out a couple of RIRs

now I know I want EEs ... and I'm not set up for chicks yet

their "ameraucanas" come in, in two days ... betcha they are really EEs ... hatchery in Walla Walla ... and I haven't yet found a local friend who will share the chicks with me .. I buy them, they house them ...

oh well

starting March 6 they have "chick days" -- 6 assorted chicks for $10 plus a cutesy little box to take them home in ... and 15% off feed prices

... but I don't want six chicks, I'm thinking three or four instead

#4 is EViL. Notice the look he is giving you, its called "the stink eye" you will see it often when he doesn't get what he wants...

I went to the feed store today to pull a fast one on my DH. We got 10 babies yesterday and I was going to get a few more RIR and sneak them into the brooder, well when I got there they were all gone, they had bunches of them yesterday. That's what I get for trying to be sneaky

I have the date TSC is getting chicks here memorized. I will "need" to get something that day I'm sure! Also inquired at another feed store we visited today when they're getting chicks but only got a vague "around Easter" for an answer from the clerk. Well, that's only three weeks from today. I'm calling tomorrow for a more precise answer!

Wildsky...

He said to me, oh you're welcome to go and take a look at them as well - but don't dare bring any home....

I always thought the hens ruled the roost like they do at my house.
