Well, she's not a red sex link

Sorry, that doesn't help, but that's the only thing I know for sure. I have an easter egger hen that has really similiar coloring to her (mine doesn't have the light patch of feathers on the back though), but my hen also has the more greenish/slate colored legs, and yours definately has yellow legs. ???? I really don't know.

She's most likely a partridge rock..but if she isn't..Just a WILD guess....she may be a campine mix? I'm not sure,but whatever she is,she's pretty!

Partirdge rock seems to get the most votes. Campine is very close in coloring but the legs are the wrong color.

It's a hair pulling worthy mystery!

Partridge Rocks are very different from that, same with Campines (plus Campines have white earlobes and more of a Mediterranean body type)


The color matches exactly, though, to what a black x buff bird would look like. I vote Sex-Link. Likely Barred Rock x Buff Orpington.

Mutts fine by me since she is such a pretty mutt! She very small too compared to the others who are the exact same age. Oh I love feed store chicks! Never know what you are going to get!

She looks exactly like an EE except the comb and the legs. Definantly a mix!
