So I'm taking the leap and getting a Brinsea advanced 20 incubator, never thought I would, but made a deal on one and now I'm excited. It also has the humidity pump and been used about 2 or 3 times 250$ plus shipping, does that sound like a good deal?

WOW! I'm 29, almost 30, no kids or any on the horizon (unless you count furry, feathery or scaly, lol), my brother is the one who wants the family life! I'm a total workaholic! I do about 50 hrs a week at my primary job (all pet stylist), along with my own 2 "fur babies", then I keep and breed reptiles as a hobby and side job, plus I tend the garden, now the chickens, and do the cooking, most of the cleaning, and all of the canning! I try to get out for a run each day as well, must be ADHD, lol. Thankfully DH does the laundry, I LOATH doing laundry!

There is nothing wrong with waiting for kids, most of the time it is better that way. More mature the more you can give to your kids if you decide to have some. enjoy the life you want to lead with or without children.

Are you ready?????
I have 7 children
Oldest girl 31, girl 30, girl 29, son 27, son 26, son 25, son 23

Yes I am tired...lol But they are all out of the house, and working. All are married except the 26 & 25 yr old boys. Son 27 just had his 1st child, so there is more to come there hopefully, daughter 30 has a 2 yr old and says NO MORE.....lol And the 2 non married sons havent even begun having kids!
Very nice sized family.
My nephew and his wife are expecting their seventh child this coming November. Right now they have 5 boys and 1 girl.

Got our eggs from KYTinpusher today and they were packaged perfectly again! A couple of wobbly air cells, but I expect that with shipped. None broken, and they all have a defined yolk floating! Look forward to this hatch!

I think I'm the only one who never candles when I receive eggs. I always hope for the best. I was wanting to know who else still has broody hens this time of the year? I currently have 3 d'Uccles, 2 Marans, and a 2 Barred Rocks, they have chicks.

I have a broody NN. I'm really trying to discourage her though.
I never candle eggs at all when I hatch.

mstricer, I dont candle either. I get my eggs, open and unwrap, and place them on countertop for 2 hrs. Then right into the incubator they go. And right into the turner.

I wait a day or 2 to let them settle if I'm going to give to a broody as they are rough on eggs, 24 hours then in bator. I then will candle around day 10 to 14 to take out any undeveloped eggs
