Since you're on here, I'd like to ask you a question. How long does it take for an ameraucana's (LF) egg to become larger size? I have bought 2 White Ameraucana hens that are about a year old maybe a little over, and their eggs are not any bigger than a bantams egg. I forgot to ask what lines they were when I bought them, I was just so excited to have found some real ameraucana's.

I thought I was doing everything right, but I failed to realize that every State has different import regulations.
Me too.Live and learn.I finally found the USDA - APHIS- import export site.Found that through the MS AG Dept.
All states are listed but some give no info or the web address has changed.I found most state AG Depts slow to respond when trying to get info to do it right.Do it wrong and the letters are fast in coming. In the case with SD it was the import permit.Did not find that info.I know now to get permits in Jan/Feb for the year.

My eggs hatched from Muddyhorse! Out of 10 eggs, 8 sussex 2 Swedish Flowers, Brunhilda hatched 5 Sussex and 1 SFH. She's still very protective. I'll get better picks soon when they leave the broody house. .

Great seeing momma hen and babies together. I wished that I could hatch that way but not set up to do that. Congratulations on the hatch.

I almost forgot to leave feedback for Wolftrack's two actions for the Sumatra eggs I won. I went down and collected them and there was definitely +++, its a good thing I have a cabinet incubator. Got home and candled them - all look terrific. They are incubating now, I will update on their progress.

THANKS!

CUTE!! Love the broodies and their babies!!

Also want to leave feedback again for AyeupChuck's FBCM eggs... I have had terrible hatches from shipped eggs this spring, usually 0% hatch (I have incubated with my own eggs as a comparison and my eggs hatch), all the way up to 2 chicks from 24 eggs.. BUT, I just had 4 chicks hatch from the eggs I got from AyeUp (16 to start). For me, that is an AWESOME hatch from shipped eggs YAY!!! The air cells for the most part were intact. Maybe because they were close to me, I don't know but I am thrilled!! THANKS Heather!!!

Received 18 Black Ameraucana eggs from Dak. Inventive use of Duct Tape and medical tape! All arrived safely and air cells in pretty good shape! They are in the incubator now.

Picked up the Purple Egger and OE eggs + 2 SPPR (thanks) from Wildhorse, some really interesting colors I haven't ever seen in person.. The Olive Eggs really do look olive drab colored, and a few gray eggs - really neat. Thank you for all the information on who was who - I got home and wrote it all down. They are all in the incubator too.

Let's put this thread to use and quit talking so much on the Auction thread, please. It just junks it up and you can't tell what is going on.
Thanks for using this thread.
