Natter and chatter thread is a good idea tho, keep the auction thread itself "crisp" so offerings don't get so buried.
The EE gal bumped her own so many times, can't help but think she was frustrated by chatter.
Other items got missed and not bid on.
It's important to have feedback to research - both sellers and buyers.
And newbs, well, we all newbs at some point (I boned up my first bin) -TG for patience, but this thread may help.

Thought these were supposed to be quick 24 hr deals?

Glad they worked out that extending auction end with a bid in place worked out.
What a mess but at least the seller extended themself to resolve it.

Yeah its called "Just In Time Hatching Egg AUCTION and BIN Thread" And it doesnt end till late Sunday. The bid started at 10 so I bid 15 and someone came on the next day and bid 11, so I informed her I had the bid at $15, so she said, ok I bid $16. So I waited and hour and bid $18....lol Nothing bid since and it is buried 3 or more pages back now

BTW I have a head cold and feel like POOP! And I have eggs going in lockdown on Monday, then more on May 14th and then May 18. So I will be hatching non stop for awhile. Thank God I have 2 bators!

Oh, and I wanted to make clear I wasn't talking about Chookschicks extended auction. Think she had extended with no bids yet, I'd just placemarked and missed catching the extension. She PM'd me and said she'd take care of me in anycase so NO gripes here. VERY accomodating lady. My egg shipping confirmation has all ready come! Whooot!

I noticed there were other feedback threads for ebay, eggbid.
Figgured public msgs on profiles were a good place for BYC feedback.
Hopefully negatives are tried to be resolved privately first.
Chat here is a GREAT idea tho.
Natter on the thread does muddy the waters.

Being polite should be first and foremost. RIght? The feed back system is the perfect place to post all pertinent information so anyone can see problems or if seller ( or buyer) is relatively reliable.

Negatives should be resolved privately for sure. I actually like BYC because information is easily available about sellers.

We have great MODS, and even they handle everything with peace and decorum via PMs. THey set the tone and the flag box allows all of us to help the mods by bringing posts to their attention. Nice system, I think.

I just wanted to report that I received my eggs from DAK yesterday perfectly wrapped and no cracks with some extras and a surprise egg! That was a run on sentence. I apologize to all those english teachers out there.

Also, I was able to candle two of Muddyhorse's eggs that are on day 10 under my broody Brunhilda before she realized I was back there. Hildy is not a nice broody. There is definitely development. I am very eggcited

I have a question for you guys. Have you ever shipped your eggs in a Regional Rate priority box? I received eggs in one the other day and they seemed to make it okay. Well I thought about reusing it to ship some eggs of mine out. Do you guys ever use them? I'm afraid it might be too fragile, the walls too thin....
