That is terrible! how strange though.. do you mean similar to this?
I have some smaller 3lbs feeders here, i keep several small flocks of chickens mostly banty, so have no need for large at the moment. Mind you have one like the above i showed in my duck barn? the standard chickens have often snacked from it as they free range, so do have access to the duck barn at those times, never an issue.
