I built this feeder based off of the information I found on this website. By the way I LOVE this site.

It is built from 4 inch PVC, and is angled at 60 degrees. I use layer pellets for my girls, but I find I have to shake the feeder for the food to pass the elbow.

I live in Utah and we get a good amount of snow, so I built a little house for the feeder to keep the food out.

Any suggestions?

lol...well it started out at 60 degrees, but with the weight it has collapsed to about probably 40 degrees. I have placed a 2x4 below the elbow to help it from collapsing again.

the fill pipe needs to be straightened so it sets at 90 degrees. if the feed pipe bends it needs a 2x4 the entire length. the rain cover you built needs to be higher and could be used to support the feed tube. keep trying, you're doing good.

It looks to me like the feed trough is too long, the angle is wrong, and you have too many feed big holes.

Shorten the trough, create a steeper angle, and reduce those huge holes to one and make it a little smaller.
