Feeding a chicken a grass snake.

Has anyone ever feed your chickens a grass snake you found?

Nope. But I've seen my chickens fight over a snake they caught themselves.

Grass snakes are beneficial and I would not feed one to my birds. If they should happen to catch one on their own (and they have at times) that would be different, but otherwise I'd leave them be.

I am afraid of all snakes, but the little green one I will not hurt...I just have to get myself together when I see it and I can continue with what I'm doing.
