I have this rooster for a long time now. He is a senior. Back then, he would eat the chicken feeds with no problem. However, now, he refuses to eat the feed and now we have to feed him mealworms. The is THE ONLY THING he would eat. I am just wondering, are there any other stuff that i can try to feed him? Mealworms can be costly.. and we are trying to have our own breeding colonies, however, the rooster just eats too fast before we even have the chance to grow the mealworms. I have bought another 2000 mealworms online but i would still like to know if there are other options that i can try to feed my rooster.

thank you

well, you could try making a kind of soup out of your layer feed, or you could try mixing whole or old milk mixed with feed chickens in general really like it.

chickens love milk in feed! When I was feeding my pigs week old whole milk stored in 90 degree july head for a week, they loved it. I could hardly keep them out of the buckets to mix the feed. the more rancid the better
