feeding blends

ive been having problems with my hens laying. at our local grainery we can select what we want what is a good blend for my hens to lay

Are they molting? Many hens do not lay over the winter without supplemental light. I would think it was one of those two reasons rather than feed. Any good commercial layer pellet should be enough. 13-15% protein and 5% calcium.

when did they stop laying? My hens went on strike for almost 2 months. They did not like the cold or snow , or the, new coop we finally finished for their winter home, and they were molting. On Christmas day they started laying again . we have gotten 3 doz from 11 hens. I feed flock feed from TSC , scratch, sunflower seeds, and lots of canned and fresh veggies , some yogurt and oatmeal a couple times a week. we are in Mi and they don't get much from free ranging , as the ground is quite frozen.

they need like a 15-16% protein layer feed, maybe some cracked corn and grit mixed in

prolly round 2 months and i dont think there molting cause ive got diffrent aged chickens and they all arnt laying?

Grit is course Sand, small gravel to help the chickens grind up their food, since they dont have teeth.

o so wat is a blend that i can get from a grainery that will make em lay good like 300lbs corn and 10 food lime 100 lbg eggmaker

If you mix 300 lbs corn and 100 lbs layer your feed will only be 12% protein that is if your layer is a 22% protein.
