Many years ago.......

That "Cajun Comedian", Justin Wilson, had a story about "hard-times" when he was growin' up.

He said that when they finished eatin' one evenin', his Mother said to give the left-over boiled okree to the pack of dogs they had outside.

(Ole Brummy was the biggest and meanest dog of the bunch)

When Lil' Justin Wilson put that pan of boiled okree out fer them dogs, Ole Brummy swallered it ALL........and it went DOWN so FAST....that Ole Brummy thought that them other dogs got it!

He said it started the biggest dog-fight ever seen in that County!

In view of that possibility,

Would it be a "bad idea" for me to feed my chickens the left-over "boiled okra" in the evenin' ?????

Mary,

I'm sure that I've commented on your Avatar before.....

That boxer ......could be a "close-relative" of my boxers: "Boone" and "Crockett" !!!

LOVE those guys!

Yep, they'll EAT okree...and ANYTHING ELSE, (except "dry-dogfood".I've gotta "doctor-up" that lousy stuff to get them to show any interest in it at all!)

Here's a picture of "Boone" when he was a lot younger. I think I had told him to do something that he didn't WANT to do...and like me....he was actin' like he's "hard-of-hearing"...like I do.

("Honey.......If'n I'd heard ya..I'd shore done whut ya asked me to.")

Mary,

Here's a picture of "Boone" when he was a little bit older.with his Son, "Crockett" as a pup.

I seem to remember that this was taken right after "Boone" had stolen a beer from me!

Mary,

Your "Hercules" is a FINE EXAMPLE of a Classic Boxer! I really like that picture! It shows the true dignity of the breed!

Here's a picture of "Boone" as a pup. You can easily see that he is "claiming innocence" for breaking the wooden step. He swore to me that the step was "rotten wood".......

I KNEW it was his "fat butt" !!!

He couldn't fool me. I had replaced that step only 10 years before!

Bruce,
Oh how can you not love those eyes! Boone is sooo innocent.

Boone sure had his eyes on something, didn't he....

I have one similar to that one of Herc...
