I know this post is old as I pulled it in from google. I too bought and fed my chicks (8ea) the 24% protein feed until last night. They are about 8-9 weeks old now and have gone through most of the bag. I thought I had bought the 20% but not the case. I will be getting a finisher type feed today and just mix in the little I have left. Most of my chicks are duel purpose but not all so I hope we did not over do it on the protein for them and have issues later on. They have been in the coop for a few weeks now and intermingle with the other chickens very well. They have their own space but can get to the grown chickens food and water if they want.
