We have the coop and run complete. Are gonna install the linoleum on the floor and then move the 7 week old chicks outside this week since weather is supposed to be good after tonight.

When you feed your chicks when they stay outside.
Do I feed and water inside the coop? Or do I need to make a dry place in the run to do this? by installing a tarp or something

It’s best to have the water and feeds in the run as long as the mice or other rodents can’t access them. After saying that we all had time in our chicken keeping learning when we kept water and feeds in the coop. Big mistake on my part, even though I hang the water and the feeders, their constantly getting bump when the chickens fly up and down from the roosts or the nests so theirs always wet spot and wet feeds mixed with the beddings that eventually get stinky. I used to have feeders on both coop and run but decided to move it all out. The coop stayed cleaner longer, the chickens are out and about in the covered run anyways from dusk to dawn.
