Calcium content is probably pretty much the same,Plus I don't bother because the egg shells don't contain as much calcium as Oyster shell.
This information was given to me by the university Vet I deal with. I trust his information..Calcium content is probably pretty much the same,
but the egg shells don't stay in the system as long so less is absorbed.

Mine do not seem to bother with the eggs and due to work schedule sometimes my eggs don't get collected until 2nd day. I just pop in microwave 30 seconds and crumble. Like Iamrainey, I also feed All Flock and my rooster is interest in the egg shells, doesn't really bother much with the OS.For those of you feeding eggshells, aren't you afraid of the correlation to them starting to eat their own eggs?
