Feeding free range chicken

Can i use whole wheat as only feed to free range chicken?
I feed them now a mix of yellow cracked corn, whole barley and wheat. Witch the best?

It's best to provide a complete diet. How well they can find their own balanced diet free ranging depends entirely upon the quality of the land and plants they have to forage. Do you have a commercially available complete chicken feed to offer them?

Yes, at hard winter period i gave them some egg laying complet mix, but now they have a wide range full with green and insect, so i think about "cutting the feed bill"
