Feeding Grandmas Chickens

It is hard to keep the older chickens out of the young chicks feed, I use the "playpen" to block out the big chickens but leave just enough room for the small ones to have access to "their" feed and water.

When it is raining out, I make sure the older hens feed bucket is not in the run, dry feed is good feed.

Dont forget to offer extra calcium to you hens, their bodies need it.

I keep the chicks feed in the time out/playpen/breeder so the big hens dont eat it all,, Its 5 am lets go and open the coop up!

I have noticed over the last 2 weeks the two feed stores have been out of oyster shell??? weird
