The Whites got a tad bit of the S&P Start feed, after the short/long night with the chicks in the coop, a small treat wont throw off their breakfast

I like to treat my older hens with the chick start while I am letting the chicks run loose in the run.
Making sure they know they have what the chicks have so they dont get overly food possessive.

I feed mine layer feed and scratch, and oyster shells, along with spinach and fresh grass clippings etc...planted a bunch of cucumber and okra and lemon balm and lemon grass, going to try and surround my run with it...but I can’t help but to just keep making my run bigger and bigger.... (not allowed to free range where I live.)

I have tried this as well, and it works, for the most part....until I accidentally spoiled them and introduced them to soldier worms as a going to bed snack

Yes they are!! I can’t stop watching them they are always doing something new.

Going out at 4:30 am to make sure the new chicks get their BK



The Coop is Open

The chicks didnt want to sleep on the roost, they wanted to lay in the sand, So last night I gave then nesting to lay on

All poo scooped, everyone contained so the big hens dont eat the babies BK

I gave them their bed back,





Coffee Pot is done, its 53 out, Have a great morning
