feeding green apples?

I have a cpl. of green apple trees on my property, i seldom eat apples, particurly the green type. can i feed { chopped or liquified } these to my free range chickens? the trees a located a considerable distance from the barn, so they likely will not stumble on them by chance.
a heard of 47 chickens, a cpl. calves , dogs an cats an a fairly understanding woman

I feed them whole to my flocks, I just throw them in the run and they peck at them for hours.
