Feeding leftovers from pet parrots

My Amazon probably only eats about a good handful of his pellets a day. He also gets whatever we are having - last night he had macaroni and cheese (one of his FAVORITES) and part of a biscuit. In the morning he had a big spoonful of scrambled egg and some toast. I buy those mixed, frozen vegetables when they are on sale, and he gets some of those nearly every day. The chickens like them too.

its so nice to see others here that have parrots

my family says i am crazy because i was paying for super expensive food and buying it in 32lb bags and shipping across the country but i love my babys. i know buy a good seed mix from a friend who also grooms my birds and we are doing our own rescue now because the local rescue i was working with did not care about the birds and were all about power and making them feel like they are doing good but they are not. i have had birds that lived a life of hell. my congo is a wild caught and is doing things people said he never would do. i will never have kids so my parrots are my kids, they just have feathers

my meyers is a bird my sister got but she fell in love with me and is very protective of me, its funny to see her go after a 6'11" man and make him hide. she is my little cuddle girl

We have 2 CAGs (congo african grays), 1 G2 (goffins cockatoo), 1 OWA (orange wing amazon), 1 HM (hahn's macaw) and 1 'tiel (cockatiel).

yinepu - you MUST do a youtube vid on your parrot - please, please,PLEASE!!!. I'd love to hear his jokes. If he gets enough laughs, send the tape to Leno or Letterman, he could end up writing for them. I don't think either of them are funny at all.
