I have chicks from 6 weeks to 12 weeks, hens 8-9 months to 2 years, roosters and ducks. They all eat together. Id like to start them on a good laying pellet but is that sufficient for the babies? Some of them are still pretty small and Im not always the one that feeds so I cant separate them. I usually have food out 24/7 and then toss them scratch and corn when I go to feed horses and goats. They follow me around everywhere lol its the only way I can get them to leave me alone!

So, what do I feed? Can I just put the whole flock on the same thing?

I don't have a rooster. But I feed 24% chick starter to everyone and provide lots of oyster shell calcium. I have it available at all times.

My vet recommended Purina Layina, not ok to feed with a mixed flock tho, right?
That is right, it's not ok.

Starter/ Grower or Flock Raiser 18% - 20%, you can keep them on this kind of feed forever. Just have a container of oyster shell out, for the ones that need it. This makes it real easy to have a mixed age flock anytime.
