I am new at having chickens. I usually have ducks. Do I need to add grit or anything to baby silkies feed? If not yet, when and what do you recommend? Thanks

At first no. Crumble will break down physically in crop as it becomes hydrated. Grit becomes important when diet contains intact or nearly grains and vegetable matter.

You can start to offer grit to peeps at about 2 weeks of age but monitor intake of grit for the first few days. If consumption is excessive & causes a reduction in feed intake then limit acess. Also they do sell CKICK GRIT, small sized grit.
