Feeding Quail

I just got a quad of coturnix quail (about 9 weeks old). They are laying eggs already. Well the only feed my store had was Purina Game Feed Chow which looks like is only 20 percent protein. I bought a 50 lb bag.... Now what should I do since that isn't enough protein?

you can suppliment with cooked egg...i just scramble a few eggs up and feed that way, others feed just hard boiled yolks. You can give them mealworms too but tey are fattening .It is possible that the 20% is ok ...someone else may know the answer to that.

Flour Means Processed... Most Processed Grains Are Useless To Birds And May Even Be Damaging As In Causing Constipation And Even Respiratory Difficulties... Many Feed Stores Carry Soy Bean Meal... Steamed, Ground Soybeans, Roughly 48-50% Protien. Just Mix The Sufficient Amount In To Bring Your Total Protien Up To Aroung 28-30%

I would go with JJ's suggestion of soybean meal. Or, find some 30% Purina Startena (unmedicated game bird feed) if anyone in your area has it and mix a bit of the lower protein stuff in with that until you've used it all up.
