Feeding when Molting

Is Mann aPro Game and snowbird food good to feed chickens when molting or is there something better to fed them. I know they need extra protein when molting ? What else do they need?

When one of my chickens molt I give them extra Scratch, which is a mix of crushed corn and a few other seeds and grains. Apparently there is something in the corn that makes their feathers extra shiny. I have also hear that they need extra protein, but I just give them normal meals, other than extra Scratch.

I even do oatmeal with yogurt and beef flavor added but let it cool and I put a bit of raw oatmeal for crunch
