Falcons are small. Red-tailed hawks can come in a number of different variations.I looked through that, I'm not sure if it's a hawk... could it be an Osprey or Peregrine falcon?
We have cowbirds at the feeder daily now. Not a favorite. There's a pair that nests in a sycamore tree in front of the beagle club. They have not arrived yet, but the Phoebe is setting on eggs. In a week or so I will check to see if a cowbird has parasitized the nest. I will intercede if that is the case. There are more cowbirds than Pheobes.
Looks like an Osprey to me.On today's episode of Wildlife at Work.... can anyone identify? I'm still learning my birds of prey.

I've been evicting deer mice from the bluebird houses at the club. Today I opened one nestbox, and there was a mother bluebird setting on eggs. I quickly closed up the house, and she never flew out.I have to get the sparrows out of my Bluebird houses.
Coloring is somewhat off, but body conformation looks like an Osprey to me.I looked through that, I'm not sure if it's a hawk... could it be an Osprey or Peregrine falcon?
