When I lived in Possum Hollow back east, we had huge Sycamores that the Baltimore orioles nested in every year.

No idea other than they are awesome trees.

Here I had the Bullock Orioles nesting in the same trees (one Russian elm, one Cottonless Cottonwood and one Russian Olive) every year. They reused the same nests. Then there was a severe snow storm that took out the branches those nests were on and none have nested here since.

Even female red winged black birds also had a bit of red on their wings. Had no clue, very beautiful

also had a male visit…but he wasn’t photogenic, naturally:
