Feeding Wild Birds

Blue jays are pretty

Aggressive tho, I know.
Oh I like the blue jays. It's the pigeons I want to move on. Not because they aren't pretty, but because they devour so much food!

Blue jays are called sentinels of the forest here. They are the first alert system to danger.

I keep calling them blue jays, but actually we have Stellar Jays. Same family but with a black head. In So Cal we had gorgeous blue jays.
I had one pair of Steller's Jays here for about 15 minutes one day.
