Does anyone feed their chickens Red Worms on a regular basis?

If so how many do you feed them?

Can they be fed Red Wigglers on a full time as food supplement to the feed?

Live food is protein right?

Are there better worms to feed the chickens?

Just curious

I know people that feed their chickens worms, and of course they dig up their own when left to forage. I personally don't feed them worms (except freeze-dried mealworms) because worms carry worms, and I don't want to take any extra chances. This is just my personal opinion.

My girls don't like worms, whether red wrigglers, dillies or night crawlers...they just don't eat them. Which is fine by me. That way I don't worry about gape worm. They eat just about everything else though.
