Feeding

Like I said, they won't eat more than they need. If they eat that much, they need it. What is the food?
No but they don't necessarily need all their calories to be in the form of grains. Some birds - not all but some - will go for whatever is easiest, and might just keep eating grain until they're full. If the grain runs out and they're still hungry, but they have pasture, they will switch to foraging to satisfy their nutritional needs.

True, but as I said, what feed OP?

What breeds?
I have two main flocks. The leghorn coop is the main problem it has 11 hens and 2 silkie roosters. It also has a silkie barred rock mix. The sencond coop is alright they have settled the food problem I still feed them once a day in the morning. They have 1 silkie roo and 10 normal hens and 1 hanicap hen if it makes a difference. The rocks don't eat as much as the leghorns. The rocks still have food every morning.
