Feet issues, tail curls down, not up.

Our Wyandotte has had problems with her feet. It is like she is walking on posts. She is one of the older hens and is retired from laying eggs. She still gets herself from one place to the other, still schools the youngsters. At one point we thought maybe she was injured at her hip but then her walking has become somewhat of a run and she sits down after a few steps unless she is at a run.

Could you get some more pictures of the bottom of the feet--it looks as if she has some bumblefoot on some of her toes. That is a staphylococcal infection that can eventually spread to the bone. Swelling, redness, and black spots on the toe and footpads are what to look for. Do you feel that her sitting a lot is to do with her feet, or from something such as egg yolk peritonitis?
