like what kind of thing can you suggest? here it's a bit difficult to find toys for the bird and please can you reach me on my instagram account its ms_and_the_quailsYes bright white lighting can cause excitability. Red lights are used in many hen houses to stop aggression. Dimming the lights may definitely help. Put in some fake or real foliage and branches to climb on. Giving them something to do, burn calories, keeps their minds and beaks busy.
Sorry, I don't have Instagram or any other social media.like what kind of thing can you suggest? here it's a bit difficult to find toys for the bird and please can you reach me on my instagram account its ms_and_the_quails
yep i do have several branches but they are small and i am afraid if they might get stucked in between..will that be what to be aware of?Sorry, I don't have Instagram or any other social media.Do you have a small mirror you can put in? What kind of trees are around you, if non toxic you might cut a few branches and put them un their to nibble on and climb?
Keep the branches spaced far enough apart the birds can't get stuck if they fall through. And don't use anything the tiny claws can get caught on either. I've had quail lose toes in log cracks, so just look out for dangerous things.yep i do have several branches but they are small and i am afraid if they might get stucked in between..will that be what to be aware of?
thanks a lot..now the light is very dim and since it's a coop they need light ofcourse and if they get dim light will they still lay their eggs?Keep the branches spaced far enough apart the birds can't get stuck if they fall through. Dimming the lights can only be temporary, a quick change in light brightness to dimmer for long will throw them into a molt. So adding things to do, more space, rearranging the furniture, all these will help to distract toe pecking and other unwanted behavior.thanks a lot..now the light is very dim and since it's a coop they need light ofcourse and if they get dim light will they still lay their eggs?

i think the coop is around 3 feet tall and 3feet squareHow much space are you giving them? They may be overcrowded.
