MOST of my chickens have some sort of fungus or crusting on their feet and legs making them somewhat lame for walking. Looked at one, the crust comes off and there is capillary bleeding underneath and what appears to be raw flesh. What's going on and what do I do about it?

Sounds like scaly leg mites. I rescued a hen with them so bad she couldn't walk at all, upon peeling that crap off after a good soak it left the area raw and a bit bloody.

Before daily soaks in epsom salt and warm water

1 week or so after daily soaks and vetRX slathered on her feet/legs

The chunk I pulled off the side of her leg leaving the open wound

All you can do is soak and scrape that stuff off daily and after apply vasoline or vetrx, cooking oil, any kind of lubricant should soften it up. It is a long process if it has gotten as bad as my new hen but as you can see it is worth it in the end. Dust all the roosts with mite powder as well
