My 1 year plus female Embden goose has been laying an egg every other day or so for a while.......she has a favorite spot out in the mud where she goes every day and sits ALL DAY.....whether she has laid an egg or not! Is this normal???? Every evening I have to go and gently budge her off the nest and show her her way home to a safe DRY pen.......
I wonder if I were to put some of her eggs in the safe warm pen, might she get the idea of setting in there? Is this "broody goose behavior" or just goose behavior..... sometimes she is sitting NEXT to the egg she laid!
If anyone has experience, I need advice!
