My duck pen is about 50 yards from the pond and every morning I let them out and they all walk to the pond. If a female duck is sitting on eggs in the pen will her urge to be with the other ducks at the pond overwhelm her and caused her to get off the eggs if she is brooding.

If she is truly broody---she might get off for a short time but she will be back.

We also have 24 chickens (male and female) that like to chase the chickens to the pond. Granted the chickens and ducks both have thier own very large protected runs that they all go to every night, but during the day when they're free ranging the roosters aggravate the ducks. My biggest concern is will a broody duck go back to the duck run on her own with the othercducks hanging at the pond coupled with roosters trying to chase her back to the pond. BTW we have 6 female and 6 male ducks.
