Female goose acting weird help!!!

I know my goose will start laying eggs soon so will that make her want to wonder away from her mate and act shy and eat only when no ones looking. We are setting up a new area away from the ducks with a nest box and kiddie pool. I have a few medications like Corid Incase she is sick. I would hate for her to be sick right before potential baby gooses come. Thanks in advanced

Also forgot two say she is a buff goose is two years old and has raised babies before at her old home.

Also is it normal for the male to seem to want to help with nest building

What does her poop look like? My 2 geese arte starting into breeding mode not yet breeding but personality changes. Gander a little more testy not really noticing much change in my female at this point but it's so cold right now mostly they are laying around conserving body heat. But yes the gander is very much apart of every thing that goes on with his mate he will be right by her side through it all they are wonderful parents.

Her poop is either green(after she eats kale or grass) clear ish or brown. They were also mating for about two weeks and then they stopped when she started acting strange.

No i have not and i looked up when buff geese start laying and it said mid February.

She seems to be acting better I wonder if she was just off for a few days. They took a long bath in the kiddie pool because they haven’t been going in the pond to bathe? Also it has been very cold rainy and flooded so if birds can catch a cold then that could have been what’s wrong with her.

That's when most geese begin to lay but can also be what part of the world your in too. of course. They can't catch a "cold" but they can get respiratory infections. Most on here worm their geese before breeding season begins.

I have always been hesitant to worm my birds cause a friend once killed her birds by drowning it.
