fencing to keep out predators out

    Whats the best type of fencing to use? We have cayotte's, fox's, racoons etc..No REALLY big animals [​IMG] Or any other idea's on keeping them out would be so greatful as well!

    Use hardware cloth. Bury it a few inches in the ground to keep predators from getting underneath it.

    Bury chicken wire around the perimeter of the coop to keep critters from digging under the fence. An electric fence turned on at night is a good idea too. Place big rocks around the perimeter also.

    Depending on what size area you are trying to protect. Around my coop/run I put chicken wire skirt to the outside and then tin down about 10" into the ground then buried both. If you are trying to protect a large area I would use good field fence and then put electric fence on the outside. I use 6" stand off insulators and I put 1 row about
    4-6" above ground (just enough to get weedeater under) and another about 12-14".
