All Countries, states, provinces have different laws...
Here I was told Im at the mercy of the Fox unless I get a permit to catch it live...To snare it I need a trapping license...Cant shoot the stupid thing either because I live in a subdivision .....will do away with them secretly .....

I totally agree....My Birds will only be safe if I choose to break laws and get rid of them..Or try and comply and never catch them...

Here in the states we have agriculture commissioners, perhaps you could contact them to find a way around this to protect your chickens.

There has to be a better way to protect your chickens from a predator than a $200 permit!

Like keep your mouth shut and do what you have to do. 200 dollars to try to trap a fox, not bad for the people getting the money, who think they own a fox.
