feral cat under house needs evicted

I would recommend, for your situation, you get a "have a heart" (however it's spelt) trap and bring the cat to the Humane Society. I agree with the other posters, that it is weird AC won't take her just because she is fixed

, I mean they get fixed dogs off people's property...

If you try to trap it, put some catnip in there along with the cat food for bait. It really helps to catch them. Tie some in a cheesecloth bag & hang it from the top near the back of the trap. Kitty bliss.

What's your local AC policy on bringing in trapped feral cats? Maybe they won't come out & catch it themselves, but what if you trap it & bring it in? I don't think they would re-release it in your neighborhood. This one sounds like such a nuisence, why should you have to apply cat repellent indefinitely? Trap it & take it where it can have its health issues addressed, or be put out of its misery.

AC here is not interested in animals they can not adopt out. all sick and injured are put to sleep if caught. this cat took over a week to trap to spay and is very trap savvy... we had to use her kittens at the time to lure her.

She is under my house because last summer she gave us 5 kittens under there so we are 'home'.

the swing set is just on dirt no sand. she gets up in the tower and has made that nasty

there is a huge feral tom that wants to move in with her under the house. listening to cat fights all night has dh thinking pellet gun but again we are 1 block of City Hall, Police station, and next door neighbors with the mayor's kid. ugh

hmmm... wonder if Tractor Supply has those water things?
I can get moth balls to throw under there

since the feral cat colony was born our local squirrel over load has dropped and now we actually get pecans! But our birds are being killed...the cat found our bird house and waited on my finches to fly this yr

if the cat is eating mice at my house then she is eating poison as we always have bait out for them. no mouse troubles!

our AC is just an office. no animals are kept there.
the animals that will be homed are taken to a ranch an hour away run by the AC head officer

Mouse Magic by Bonide is one of the nontoxic repellents you might try (some Ace Hardware stores carry it) - reportedly cotton calls dipped in peppermint oil also work. Death by poisoning for the cat, a chicken, or anything else, comes with so much suffering for unintended victims. I've had good luck with repellents....

I like that idea even better!!!!! then if the smell wafts up to the house it isn't horrible

I caught a dumb feral cat twice in the live trap that I borrowed from a friend last summer that I didn't need because I had a pretty Blue cat that I got a few days before.

I dumped a small bucket of water on him and let him go. I figured that was the last I would see of him. Not!!!!! Three weeks later I caught him AGAIN!!!! Arggggg!!!! I was SO mad!!!!!!!!!!! I firmly told him that if I catch you again you're going to be introduced to my .22. Then after I let him go my dog Blackie started chasing him (she was sitting next to me at the time). I haven't seen that dumb Feral cat since.
