Feral cat!

I also have a new stray cat on my road... now, dont get me wrong, i love cats...i have 6 of my own (ALL indoors)...but i will NOT tolerate another persons cat in my yard. i keep my cats inside and they dont bother people..and i expect the same respect. (why are loose cats any differant than a loose dog?...IMO there is NO differance.) so when we get strays here..they take a ride...i've taken a few in... but i have no more room in my house for animals...so, any strays here go for a ride. and anyways..the way i figure it is...the owners must not really care about their cats to much if they let them roam all over...i know i'd be frantic if one of my cats ever got outside!

Even if the cat doesn't kill your bird outright, it will probably die from infection. My son was bitten by a cat, not even a stray, but one belonging to my daughter and was well cared for. Within 24 hours he was in the hospital on IV antibiotics due to the infection. His doctor told us that cat bites are just like injecting bacteria into the body. Just imagine how that would overpower a chicken.

You know that perfectly well......at least, I hope you do.....

Just as much as you know speying doesn't change the need and nature of a predator.

One more time.....the point here is not whether you agree with TNR or not.....the point is the requirement for you to show some respect to those with differing viewpoints when you post in this forum.

Oh, and the word is "spay" -- not "spey"....unless, of course, you're talking about a river in Scotland....

The only raccoons I have ever seen in this town are always at the people's house who feed the feral cats. I hope they keep feeding them

coz they live a ways from me, and I'm sure as soon as they stop feeding them, the coons are gonna come looking for food (my chickens)

I read this post title in the list on the home page, but right above it was a post titled, "Fresh boiled eggs". In my so very tired mind, I read the post as "fresh boiled cat".
