fermented feed

Great link, thanks for sharing. I am definitely going to give fermented feed a try. I have made yogurt and kim chi before, sounds like it is even easier.

I've fermented feed for my chickens and they love it. But this article isn't too favorable for it. Looking at my feed bag tag, there are several different forms of fermentation products already in the feed. Not sure why so many and their benefits. Dried trichoderma longibrachiatum, dried bacillus amyloliquefaciens, aspergillus oryzae, subtillis, etc. (Countryside Organics and Blue Seal). I hadn't fermented the feed in several months but did it again. Fed it to them the last 3 days. Today they laid three times as many eggs as they have laid in months! They were slowing down (been laying a year and beginning to molt). I am VERY excited about this result!

I dont know which method your going to use but i suggest using the two bucket method and always have an extra near by it comes in handy and dont fill your buckets too high with feed it gets hard to stir the bottom.

I maybe missed something earlier but what is the two bucket method?
