FERMENTED FEEDS...anyone using them?

Hey all you FF officionados...I need to deter my dogs from eating the chicken food. It's expensive! Can I put cayenne or dried red pepper flakes into the FF for the chooks?

You can use forcepts and grab them by the leg, they are much more sturdy than cricket legs.

You could put them I. A tall enough slick sided ceramic dish for the chickens to eat them out of. I'm sure they'll enjoy chasing them around that way.

You can always mash them up and put it in your feed that way, if you wish to use them as a protein source for a home made ration.

Hi, I don't know but seriously don't think it would hurt the hens, but it would not deter my dog. I had to work with him til he knew chicken food was not dog food.

Feed inside the coop. That's how I've had to do it for years as all my dogs love chicken feed, dry or wet.

I went to the bucket system and it's going in coop tomorrow--you should see the drips of ff feed on my kitchen floor. Out to the coop--mop the floor!
