So it is probably fine to wet some chick crumbles with a bit of the liquid from the scratch ferment I made for my adult hen? She mostly rejected it as she does with almost everything, but the chicks (4 weeks tomorrow) went crazy for the moistened crumble I gave them.

So it is probably fine to wet some chick crumbles with a bit of the liquid from the scratch ferment I made for my adult hen? She mostly rejected it as she does with almost everything, but the chicks (4 weeks tomorrow) went crazy for the moistened crumble I gave them.

Yep, use some liquid from the already started scratch mix and it will give the crumble a kick start on the fermenting path since all of the bacteria that you want is already in the liquid.
