Fermented orgetting moldy?

Its been so hot here, and i just switched to seeds/grains to ferment instead of feed crumbles. I can't tell if this seed is fermenting properly or if its getting moldy. What do y'all fermenters think?

That's known as Scoby and it's the bacterial yeast colonies that are fermenting the feed. Sometimes they collect on the surface. As long as your mix still smells nice then there's nothing to worry about.

My first attempt at fermenting failed (aka FFF (first fermenting failure)). Now I know why. I’m off to start again with a different bucket.

(PS. Did you read any of the responses to her article? I love the person that read the whole article even though she doesn’t have chickens and will never have chickens)

oh my, I havent laughed that hard in a long time. She was hilarious!
