Black Oil Sunflower Seeds. Yep, I had to ask too!One other question, what is BOSS?
Well McMurruy said my chicks would be here by Saturday, they were right . They arrived this morning. I started the feed soaking yesterday and it's not bubbling yet. I went ahead and started them on it anyway and they are eating it. I'm not sure if I have enough ACV in it. I am using the 5 gallon bucket system and I put about 1/4 on the quart bottle in the mix. How long should it take to start bubbling?
They're eating it!!!:![]()
And they LOVE it!![]()
Talking about the week old chicks in case I've lost you![]()
Plan on putting the new chicks hatching this weekend in the same brooder. I think the older ones will show them where the good stuff is to eat![]()
I gave them what all the older birds are eating, and that has scratch grain in itWoo hoo!!! Did you add the millet to get them to try it, or did they just do it spontaneously?
And I was going to say putting live worms in it could help get them into it. Glad they like it now. Funny how birds can ignore it then they can't leave it alone. They're eating it!!!:![]()

It took them a good 24 hours to even touch it. Now they are obsessed. Very happy about that! And I was going to say putting live worms in it could help get them into it. Glad they like it now. Funny how birds can ignore it then they can't leave it alone.
